Scholarships and Recognition AEYC of WNY provides annual scholarships and recognition to members of the early childhood community. Highlights of the awards include... The Lillian Brand Award... presented to students of early childhood for the purpose of attending the New York State AEYC Conference. Deadline for applications was February 28, 2008. Process is closed until 2009 Student Scholarships... Three scholarships are awarded annually to local students pursuing degrees in early childhood education. These scholarships are $750.00 each and are to be used by the winner for educational purposes. Process is closed until 2009. Deadline for application was April 15, 2008. The AEYC of WNY Outstanding Awards... recognizing excellence in the field of early care and education. Awards are presented in the categories of Outstanding Advocate for Children, Outstanding Program Director or Administrator, and the Outstanding Early Care and Education Award, honoring a teacher or assistant working directly with children.
